£20,000 raised by our Hackney Half runners
Over 60 loyal supporters ran in the Hackney Half marathon this year, including a team from the Hackney Gazette.
On the 29th May 2018, a team of more than 60 were sponsored to run the Hackney Half marathon on behalf of the Hackney Winter Night Shelter, raising over £20,000 to support our work. A huge thanks to everyone who took part and the Hackney Gazette for making us once again your chosen charity for the race.
We hope to see you again next year!
The 13.1 mile Hackney Half takes place every year and covers a flat tour of Hackney's green and natural spaces, from the marshes through Stonebridge Gardens, Victoria Park and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Organised by Virgin Sport, Hackney Winter Night Shelter were one of the charities that entered a team into the race and thousands of spectators lined the route to cheer on the runners.
